Michael Bruch, Born in 1966, is Head of Research & Development department in Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty AG (AGCS), the dedicated Allianz Company for corporate and specialist insurance solutions. In his position he is responsible for assessing emerging scenarios and trends which are relevant for AGCS insurance business. Within the framework of emerging risks, he monitors and assesses new scientific, legal and technical risk and opportunity issues incl. renewable energies under the perspective of insurance solutions. He is an environmental engineer and economist. He started his career as a project manager for the decontamination of soils, groundwater and landfills. With his 15 years experience in environmental management for a global gas generating company and as head of a risk management consulting unit for Allianz Center for Technology, he gained a broad knowledge with projects in the field of environmental and risk management, e.g. assessment of environmental and technical risks with respect to financial transactions (Environmental and Technical Due Diligence), risk assessment of international companies in the field of environmental liability insurance cover, setting up a risk management system for the evaluation of third-party claims, implementation of a safety, quality and environmental management system, failure and safety analyses for production facilities, future and trend research studies. |
Jürgen Brucker, Graduated from the University of applied Science in Bingen with a degree in Process Engineering. After graduation, he worked as Consultant, Project Engineer and Manager in the field of power generation for eleven years. During that time, he spent two years on the construction site of the Afsin-Elbistan thermal power plant. He then joined Munich Re in 1992 and worked in various positions in the Head office (Head of facultative underwriting for the Greater China region) but mainly abroad in Munich Re branch offices. He worked for four years in South Africa, three years in Thailand and from 2004 to 2008 as General Manager Non-Life of the Munich Re Beijing branch. Since July 2008, he works as a Client Manager responsible for the Turkish market.

Nusret CÖMERT, Has been the Managing Director of Shell Exploration & Production and Gas & Power activities in Turkey since 2002, after being the General Manager of the company for four years. Comert has the business development responsibility for those businesses in Turkey and has been supporting Shell activities in the region for developing upstream position and additional supplies for Turkey and Europe. He also has the responsibility for natural gas business in Turkey. Before assuming these roles he worked for Shell International Gas and Power Limited in London for over two years. He was responsible for Gas and Power business development in Turkey and East Mediterranean. Before joining in Shell Gas and Power, Comert worked for Shell Oil Products for 12 years in refining, distribution, wholesaling and retailing of distillates and lubricants. Comert holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and has Masters degree in Managerial Sciences. He is a member of various associations including Turkish Industrialists’ and Businessmen Association (TUSIAD) and is also Vice Chairman of TUSIAD Energy Group, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of PETFORM (Petroleum Platform Association, the industry body for Exploration & Production of Oil and Natural Gas).

M. Emre ÇAMLIBEL, has more than 16 years of experience in project management and business development primarily focusing on the real estate sector. He currently serves as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the Soyak Holding and is also the President of the Real Estate Group. M. Emre Çamlıbel started his career in 1992 at STFA, Turkey as a civil engineer and continued at Kennedy & Rossi Inc. and Walsh Brothers Inc., Boston USA as a project engineer and manager. In 1998, M. Emre Çamlıbel joined Soyak where he initially served as the Assistant to the General Manager at Soyak Construction and later as the Project Development Coordinator at Soyak Holding. Between 2001 and 2008, he was appointed as the General Manager and the Executive Board Member of Soyak Yapı. During his tenure, Soyak Yapı has completed many successful projects including Soyak Yenişehir with 3000 units, Soyak Olympiakent with 3600 units, Soyak Mavişehir with 1500 units and Soyak Evreka and Soyak Evreka Rezidans with 1000 units. Under M. Emre Çamlıbel’s leadership, Soyak Yapı acquired ISO 9001 Quality Management System, OHSAS 18001 Work Health and Safety System, and the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certificates and became the first real estate company to receive the “Respect for Human” award four times successively. In 2005, Soyak Yapı was classified in “Turkey’s Superbrands” catalogue by the world famous “Superbrands” organization. In 2007, Soyak Yapı maintained its sector leadership as the first and only real estate company to receive the “National Quality Prize” awarded by KalDer (an EFQM partner). M. Emre Çamlıbel is a member of the Turkish Quality Association, member of the Board of the Real Estate Investment Trusts Foundation (GYODER, Turkey) and an Executive Committee member of the ULI Turkish Chapter. M. Emre Çamlıbel holds a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston, USA, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Yıldız Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey. He is currently working towards his doctorate degree at the Boğaziçi University’s Department of Civil Engineering in Istanbul, Turkey. He is married and has two children. |

Doğanay SAMURAY, Was born in Istanbul in 1958. He graduated in 1980 from Hacettepe University as a Physics Engineer. In 1984 he founded PALMET as an Engineering Procurement Company. In its early years, PALMET mainly operated in infrastructure development, energy feasibility analysis, and engineering process design. PALMET has now become internationally known as one of the leading firms in providing infrastructure solutions and operational support for the IT and Telecommunications industries. Mr. Samuray has been involved in the liberalization of the Turkish Energy Industry since 1998. He actively participated in creating the legislation for the initiation of a private natural gas distribution sector in Turkey and conducted various feasibility studies in the city gas distribution sector. Later, he set up two local gas distribution companies and one natural gas wholesale company which were awarded licenses by EMRA. As well as being one of the founding members of GAZBİR (Association of Natural Gas Distributors in Turkey) Mr. Samuray is also a member of the Energy Committee of TÜSİAD (Turkish Industrialists’ and Businessmen's Association). He currently acts as CEO of PALMET and is chairman of the board to all of its subsidiaries. Mr. Samuray is married and has two children. |
